Although I am now a full time professional photographer, educator and keynote speaker I began my teaching career working in the Richmond Public School System in Richmond, Va. I spent countless hours working with kindergarten and 1st graders before transitioning into self contained classrooms working with special needs students k-2.

Once I saw all of the school systems closing around the world my social media feed began to flood with parents expressing their struggle trying to adjust to homeschooling. When in the face of a challenge, my instinct is to help no matter the cost.

During this unprecedented time in history I realize I cannot directly help anyone. I have zero medical experience, I cannot protect the most vulnerable beyond social distancing, I can't even sew a straight line let alone masks for our health care workers. What I can do is help provide parents with resources, tools, tips and tricks for supporting the education their children were receiving every day in school while hosting 20 minute interactive lessons online a few days a week.
